Timelines Are Online! Yippee!

You can now access all World Cultures timelines at a single location. Go to the World Cultures page and click on the link to the timelines.

Read the notes at the top of the timeline pages to identify which are the most important/helpful timelines, as well as how to enlarge the timeline for viewing purposes.

Enjoy!

As for the test, the secret word is "Burundi." Remember it, but don't tell anyone what it is!

Limited Amnesty for Late Work Is Now OVER

As you adjust to the expectations of World Cultures and Upper School over the past two weeks, I have limited the penalty for late work significantly, and I have been happy to accept late work I would not otherwise have accepted.

As of Monday, I ask of you to meet your full responsibilities as World Cultures students. That means you are to bring the reading notes and homework due that day to class.

Reading check questions, when they are collected, will only be accepted in class on the day they are collected. All late submissions will receive a 0/5 or 0/10, depending on the value of the assignment. Real Player reaction papers, when they are collected, will be accepted for full credit in class, half credit the next school day, and no credit after two school days.

All other work will receive a 10% penalty for each day it is submitted late in accordance with the World Cultures course syllabus.

If you have any questions, please ask!

Updated LJCDS Computer Account & Email Information

There are two separate log-ins with passwords that you need to have for access to school computers and an LJCDS email account. To make sure everything is working, please follow the instructions below:

1) By September 7th, try logging yourself onto a school computer. It is possible your password has been changed to "pass", so try that if your old password doesn't work or you've never logged on before.

2) By September 7th, log onto your email account using the information I gave you in class on Friday. It is possible your password has been changed to "Welcome 123".
